DC Announces Injustice: Gods Among Us Animated Movie
----------------------------------------------------
DC has revealed that its next DC Animated Movie will be
centered around the extremely popular fighting game
Injustice: Gods Among Us, with a movie adaptation on
the way.

Based on the fan-favorite game and the comic series
that continues the story, Injustice: Gods Among Us will
adapt the story of a dark alternate timeline in the
DC Universe. An advance sneak peek of the film will be
available as part of the upcoming home release for
Batman: The Long Halloween, Part Two. No other
information for the film has been released, so expect
more from DC in the future.

After murdering the Joker, Superman then continues to
execute criminals as he grows more and more corrupt.
Five years after that, Superman has formed the One
Earth Regime to enforce global peace, but many of DC's
most famous superheroes, led by Batman, have banded
together to oppose the regime.

In a tweet that is referencing the news, Ed Boon, the
director for the original game, tweeted out a
screenshot that showed the word "Injustice" trending
on social media.

Launched in 2013, Injustice: Gods Among Us tells the
story of a parallel universe in which the Joker tricks
Superman into killing his pregnant wife Lois Lane, and
detonating a nuclear weapon that destroys Metropolis,
killing five million people.

I take it this is unrelated to the video game "Injustice" I have seen
trailers for on some of my DC Animated movies.

That one appears to be just a bunch of fights, with the various heroes
getting upgrades. Ho-hum.

The animated movie is called "Injustice: Gods Among Us".

The fact that it can be shortend to just "Injustice" by removing the
sub-title is irrelevant. You're simply being pedantic and
argumentative. :-\

It not only /can/ be, it /was/.

That's not pedantic -- it's pointing out a simple fact.

You appear to be the one who is argumentative, trying to tell me what
the trailer I saw said.

And, BTW, it only shows them fighting each other in a cellar and
getting upgrades. No world domination, no apparent plot, no nothing
resembling the movie description.

Particularly since Superman is shown losing ... and returning with
upgrades.

Wow! You really can project!

/I/ am the one presenting facts. /You/ are the one ignoring them.

Here are some more:

The trailers I found for the video game "Injustice: Gods Among Us"
<https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2182384/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_3>
bore no resemblance to the trailer I saw.

What /I/ saw was the "Pachinko trailer"
<https://www.imdb.com/video/vi1813100057?playlistId=tt5769154&ref_=vp_rv_2>
for "Injustice2"
<https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5769154/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0>
which is a different video game, although apparently a continuation of
"Injustice: Gods Among Us".

And "Injustice2" does appear to have a plot. Apparently, this trailer
was for a very specialized audience.

OTOH, it is true that the name of the game advertised is "Injustice2"
rather than "Injustice".

Since the film is based on "Injustice: Gods Among Us", the answer to
my question is: the film is /related/ to the game whose trailer I saw,
but is based on an earlier game in the same series.

Too bad you were too busy being a smart-ass to come up with the
answer.

And don't bother to respond. You can't, remember? I've been killfiled.

And, unlike yourself, I don't use aliases on Usenet. This is because I
have nothing to hide.
