Hmmm ... a bandwagon-jump of 'The Secret Life of Pets' movies and a
knock-off of Family Guy / King of the Hill (the third show is only
mentioned by name).

Therapy Dog: FOX to develop new animated comedy series
------------------------------------------------------
After an intense bidding war between multiple networks,
Deadline is reporting that FOX has successfully gained the
rights to the script of the animated comedy Therapy Dog.
Following the network's win, they're already in the
process of developing the new series that is co-created by
actresses Sharon Horgan (Catastrophe) and Clea DuVall
(American Horror Story) along with writers Jennie
Crittenden and Gabrielle Allan (Divorce).
Therapy Dog follows the story of Honey, a dog who runs
group therapy sessions to help her fellow neighborhood
animals to manage the neuroses brought on by their owners
and each other. The animated series was co-written by
DuVall, Critten and Allan, who will all serve as executive
producers together with Horgan and Clelia Mountford through
their Merman Production Company.
Aaron Kaplan and Dana Honor are also set as executive
producers through their Kapital Entertainment (A Million
Little Things) banner, which will be the show's studio.
Therapy Dogs is not the only animated series that FOX is
currently developing. The network has also acquired two
new animated series: Bless the Harts from co-creators Phil
Lord, Christopher Miller, Emily Spivey and Seth Cohen; and
Amy Poehler's Duncanville, which is a family comedy.

FOX orders animated comedy series Bless the Harts
-------------------------------------------------
FOX has given a straight-to-series order to Bless the Harts,
a half-hour animated comedy featuring the voices of Academy
Award and Golden Globe nominee Kristen Wiig (Bridesmaids,
Saturday Night Live), Emmy Award and Screen Actors Guild
Award nominee Maya Rudolph (The Good Place, Bridesmaids),
Emmy Award nominee Jillian Bell (Saturday Night Live,
Eastbound & Down) and Ike Barinholtz (Neighbors, Blockers).
Created and executive-produced by Emmy Award winner Emily
Spivey (The Last Man on Earth, Parks and Recreation, Saturday
Night Live), 13 episodes of Bless the Harts have been
ordered, which will air during the 2019-2020 season.
"Emily Spivey has the uncanny ability to observe the simplest
qualities of everyday life, framing together bold characters
and hilarious stories built around warmth and heart," said
Michael Thorn, President, Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting
Company. "Having grown up in a close-knit southern family,
she has a deep well of material that has inspired her to
create this show, with a phenomenal cast, headlined by
Kristen, Maya, Jillian, and Ike. As home to television's most
iconic animated families - the Simpsons, Griffins, and
Belchers - we're thrilled to welcome the Harts to FOX."
Bless the Harts follows a group of Southerners who are always
broke as a joke, and struggling for the American dream of
status and wealth. What they don't realize is that they're
already rich, in friends, family and laughter.
Produced by 20th Century Fox Television, Bless the Harts will
be executive-produced by Emily Spivey, Emmy Award and Golden
Globe nominee Phil Lord (The Last Man on Earth, The LEGO
Movie), Emmy Award and Golden Globe nominee Christopher
Miller (The Last Man on Earth, The LEGO Movie), Kristen Wiig
and Seth Cohen (The Last Man on Earth, Drunk History).
Lord and Miller, who previously worked with Spivey on their
series, The Last Man on Earth, will produce this project
through their Lord Miller Productions banner, with the
company's Aubrey Lee overseeing the project. The celebrated
multi-hyphenate duo continue to ramp up their slate in both
television and film.
